Hi All,

I have been doing a bit of thinking latly with everything i have going on and have come to the conclusion that i am going to have to take my leave from the Group 1 Post Exchange.

I am finding that it is becoming to time consuming and that i dont have the time to do it. Not so much the posting as i keep that most of the time but the development of my own forum more so it is just become quite difficult for me to keep new and fresh posts there for people to reply to.

Sorry to hear this also. As I understand from our chat, your offline business is also taking off which I assume gives you added pressure on time, etc. Good luck, and please think of us should you ever return to developing your forum.

Oh i know at some point in the future i will be returning to Forum's i just dont ahve the time to develop the number of forums i have planned and have domains waiting for.

Furthur to this i guess i will still be around aposting a little where i can on the forums i have been visiting so i will still be helping out i just dont ahve the time really to work out numbers and make sure i am getting quality content onto my own forum to help other members post.

Also as mentioned my offline business is picking up it is keeping me rather busy but still not picking up to the level i would like. I am also either for good or bad starting a number of online shops whicha re taking a considerable amount of time to enter products. So yeah it is all starting to happena nd forums and such just have to take a back seat until i can build a little bit more of a business which starts to employee people to do the work and gives me a good bit of free time.

So be sure you will see me a around a little maybe not a lot but i should be around doing some posting off and on.

Update: Joel has PM'ed me to say he's not going to be leaving afterall.

He's had what sounds like a disaster with his forum and lost all posts and user data in an accidental unrecoverable database deletion. He's now installed vBulletin and has a new look: http://www.techie-central.com

He's making a huge effort to reach the required post count before the month is out. I'm sure a few of us here can reciprocate that by returning a few posts his way to help get things off the ground for him again.

Thank-you Aaron, I know i have kind of made a mess for this month with my posting and such, but i will try and make a big effort and in the next 2 or 3 day will attempt to make a big effort to reach my 100 posts or more, i will also try and do this through as many of your forums as possible.

It was a disaster i guess but i am looking at it with an optimistic outlook, it has given me the chance to update to vbulletin, which i wanted to do but could never find the time. And i think this is going to be much better for techie-central as a whole. I look forward to seeing some of you around and i will definetly be making a huge effort to keep the content fresh and flowing.

By the Way the forum is now located at http://www.techie-central.com rather then the sub directory it used to be in.

Good luck, Joel... don't worry about posting on my forums specifically (if that's what you meant) - in fact, the more your posts are spread across all participating members' forums, the better. Smile

I am trying to spread them out and will make it i just have to sit down and put a focus on posting, which hopefully i will get a few hours tomorrow to come very close and finalise it by the 31st. which i think onyl give me about 48 hours at most

Yeah i was leaving but off the back of a what you would think to be totally devastating event (EG Database Deletion) I got a lot of inspiration even though it took me over 6 hours struggle with the FTP to actually upload the forum, plus extra money for the design on it. Plus the fact i was starting from nothing. I just decided i also wanted to not leave and make 100 posts in a matter of 3 or 4 days.

Which i am happy to say i have done and will be doing next month, Dont worry about not allocating any posts this month either Andrew, i understand in the circumstances that i said i was leaving then a few days from the end of the month change my mind.

Hi Guys, i just thought i should update you. Even though a day or two late i have just posted stats for march and have made the required 100 posts for march. See you all around the boards for April.
